A factory in northern Italy financed and controlled by the Mafia.

A high profile cosmetics manufacturer had just launched a new brand of face creams and body lotions. Hardly had the genuine products been launched on the European market before counterfeit copies were finding their way on to the “high street” across Europe. Enquiries by the team from Ingram Associates led them to a factory in northern Italy financed and controlled by the Mafia.

The team visited the factory under pretext and covertly filmed the entire production, whilst recording the salesman’s patter. The film and sound recording were sufficient for Ingram Associates’ client’s solicitors to have the factory closed by a court order.
